Bill Of Rights Held Hostage By The Federal Government
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Ever heard this before ? It’s the First Amendment in the Bill Of Rights. One of those documents we like to take care of, keep all nice and secure in a government building ; but are we following it ? Maybe they should sell the thing on a site selling discount books online, see what they can get for the useless thing .
With the propaganda coming out of Washington about this place being the “Land of the Free” how much freedom do we really have? If you write a paper and send it out on the street with words that the state says is explicit you may be given government fines or even imprisonment.
Wait…imprisonment for free speech?! Wasn’t that exactly what we were attempting to guard against? In a word, yes.
The reality of our freedom seems to be nothing more than a press release, less real than the dribble that comes out of the politician’s mouths about our “strong and resilient economy”.
While they make speeches about freedom of the press the FCC will drown out any speech that is considered offensive. Ever thought of running your own radio station? Good luck. You won’t be able to find the money needed to get a FCC licence. And if you do, you will need advertisers to pay for it and the rest of your expenses or you will eventually go under. Who has the money to support you? Big corporations.
Seem like a small circle of friends with you on the outside? It is. The corporations wouldn’t exist without government support through huge tax subsidies as well as out and out capital funding, and the federal government keeps growing because corporations are destroying our economy .
So where’s the difference between banning books and burning them; the difference between free speech and despotism? In this country it seems like nothing more than a hollow PR statement, just a piece of effective branding that seems to work well with the American völkisch movement.
